AB Maurice Eric Smith, RN Beach Commando 'N'

Maurice Smith, service number JX 362070, served from 29 April 1942 to 03 May 1946. His training for commando service commenced in January 1943 at HMS Quebec and HMS Armadillo. Posted Royal Naval Beach Commando 'Nan' from 1 April 1943 until 30 November 1945. For much of that time he served in N1 Section as per the victualling record but is also shown in N2 section on a list compiled by veterans. Active service included amongst others Sicily, Italy, and the Adriatic. Released to Shore Class 'A' 3 May 1946.
