who died aged 27 on 3 February 1944 during operations at Monte Ornito and Monte Faito, Italy.
Remembered with honour on the Cassino Memorial.
Son of Mrs. M. Wade of Hullbridge, Essex.
His name is amongst others on a Marble Roll of Honour on Monte Ornito itself.

Note. A Memorial Hall in Hullbridge near Hockley was dedicated to Lance Sergeant Wade and his fellow Commandos in 1946 and named the Leonard Wade Memorial Club. Mrs.Laycock, wife of Maj. Gen. R.E.
