Trade in 1939 prior to enlistment Iron Foundry Labourer. Served in No.12 Commando and later No.1 Commando. April 1942 married Isabella Beddow. 1946 resided 4 Seville Street, Liverpool 5 with his wife Isabella. Member of the Commando Association from Kirkby, Liverpool. Image circa 1959/1960 from his nephew Wayne Colquhoun who adds "Bill stands tall with Bella his wife who was very petite. That's my grandmother, her sister to the left."
