Update from Pete R 18/4/2010 " I have found a message on the forum stating that the man standing on the left in the back row with the sidearm is Victor 'dusty' Miller of No.2 .

Update 24/6/11 by Pete R. Pte. George Sansom of 3 trp identified by his grandaughter Linda as being rear rank 3rd from the left.
Looking at this photo again and comparing with others in our gallery and with what I have been told by Eric Buckmaster and others I can list as follows:

Rear rank: l-r: 1. Victor 'Dusty' Miller (3 trp); 2. Edward George Spinks (3 trp); 3. George Sansom (3 trp); 4. n'k; 5. n/k

Middle rank: 1. possibly John Austwick; 2. n/k; 3. n/k; 4. n/k.

Front rank; 1. Captain Gordon Hemming (3 trp); 2. n/k ; 3. Johnny Tarrant (3trp) ; 4. n/k
