Update from Major James Dunning: "Robert Holmes was an instructor at STC Lochailort when I first met him. He was a lovely chap with a great sense of humour. When Lochailort closed, Lord Lovat took him on as his Explosives Officer and he served with him from then on. I recall him saying once " I will teach you to blow up everything from Battleships to Brigadiers" which we all found quite amusing. Lord Lovat mentions him in his book"
