Tommy, front row extreme right, had served with 43RM Cdo from its formation until Aug'44.

Tommy served in 43RM Commando in Italy and Yugoslavia from its formation until 20th Aug'44 when his records show he was attached to HMS Byrsa, Naples Port Naval Party. Tommy had suffered injuries to his feet, and in Aug'46 was medically discharged from the Royal Marines.
