876563 Gunner Matthew Wade, Royal Artillery attached to No.1 Commando from 3rd May 1943 until December 1945. He undertook basic training at the CBTC. Achnacarry . After completion he was posted to the Holding Operational Commando (HOC) and then re-posted to No.1 Commando at a time when it was being brought up to full establishment prior to embarkation for the Far East.
