Bob was RE Captain attached to SS Brigade on the raid. Corran was a Lieutenant in charge of a No.12 Commando demolition team.

Location St Nazaire on the 70th Anniverary of the raid March 2012.

Bob was a Captain in the Royal Engineers attached to the Special Service Brigade when he took part in the raid. He, along with fellow Royal Engineer Captain Bill Pritchard, had been instrumental in the initial planning and training of the demolition teams.

Service no. 118439.

Awarded Military Cross 5th July 1945 (LG Supp 37162 page 3493.) for gallant and distinguished services during the raid on St Nazaire 27/28th March 1942.
Promoted Major 18th February 1953 ( LG Supp 39823 page 2033.)
Retires whilst in the rank of Lt Col Royal Engineers on the 4th Feb 1967 (LG Supp 44258 page 2325.)
