Little is known about this group of happy servicemen other than Vic Brothwood is seen closest to the camera, lying on his back.

Very little is known about this photo other than Vic was involved in Op Claymore and is seen here on board a ship bound for Norway. Tragically, shortly after he returned from Norway, Vic Brothwood died. Vic joined No.5 Commando 3 Oct 1940.

Driver John 'Vic' Brothwood died at 01.00 hrs. 3 April 1941 at Barrhead, Scotland.
His Commanding Officer reported his death as being self inflicted.
Son of Herbert Bertram John and Margaret Ethel Brothwood, of Peterborough.
