46 RM Commando. PO/103050 Marine John Muir is in the middle, Eric Taylor is on the right. The rear of the photo has the names written. On the left, the name John, crossed out and replaced with Steve, Andersol. I can find no Andersol in the limited records I have however I have found PLY/105808 Marine John Anderson in 46 RM Cdo. Hopefully one day someone may recognise him and let us know
Now identified, see comments below.

The marine on the left is my father Jim Anderson, he was from Upholland in Lancashire and joined as soon as he could, his biggest adventure and didn't want to miss it.
He was called swede because of his blonde hair and it got changed to Steve.
He passed in 2000, as with most veterans he didn't discuss the war with his family. It was only later in life he wanted to attend reunions but illness forbade this.
