Les and Joe were Liverpool Scots, then No.4 Ind. Coy, then SS Bn., and finally 5 tp No.2 Cdo. Les was injured and taken POW at St Nazaire. Joe Rogers made it back from the raid to rejoin No.2 Cdo.
