No.6 Commando were engaged in operations at Bavent, France. Son of Henry and Bridget Lavery; husband of Eileen Gertrude Lavery, of Feltham, Middlesex. Henry had enlisted into the Royal Artillery at Edinburgh in 1930 whilst residing in Uphall, West Lothian.
