Driver Albert Watts
Albert enlisted on the 26th October 1938. He was killed in action on 16th April 1945 aged 23 yrs. This would mean that on enlistment his age would have been probably 16 –17yrs. It is thought that he originally signed up, lying about his age, and giving the name T. Power. He is eventually discovered but by this time is an adult. He then goes onto be a driver in his real name with the 8th Motor Ambulance Company on the 13th March 1942 and his war abroad begins on the 8th Dec 1942 when he sets sail and ultimately arrives in Bone, North Africa on 22nd Dec 1942. On the 7th June 1944 he volunteers for, and is attached to No.9 Commando, from his unit in North Africa. On the 16th April 1945 he is killed in action at Argenta whilst with No.9 Commando.
