Service number 305003. This photo taken whilst he was a Lance Corporal in the Gordon Highlanders. From the 2 SBS memorandum in our gallery, he was a Corporal in the SBS and was later commissioned within the section on the 6th Dec. 1943. He proceeded overseas to S.A.C.S.E.A. He was awarded the Military Cross whilst in Burma (ref. National Archives WO 373/38 - London Gazette Issue 37138 published on the 19 June 1945. Page 22 of 28).
