Jack adds " This photo shows Prince Bernhard decorating Private Nick de Koning with a gallantry medal after the Troop returned from India. During the fighting with the Japanese he saved the life of a severely wounded comrade by the name of Rudi Blatt by pulling him out of the Japanese fire and taking him back to his own lines."
