<description><![CDATA[Lt./Col. Augustus Charles Newman, Commanding Officer of No.2 Commando with 2 of his officers. There are numerous other pictures of all 3 in our gallery. Tom Peyton (centre) was killed in action at St Nazaire - see No.2 Commando In Remembrance album. Colonel Charles was awarded the Victoria Cross at St Nazaire. Dickie Hooper was awarded the Military Cross at Scaletta, Sicily, in August 1943. <br />
