Sir Tommy MacPherson MC, whose full name is Ronald Thomas Stewart Macpherson, was awarded the Military Cross in 1941 whilst an officer in No.11 Commando, and later two bars to the MC whilst with the Jedburghs. In post war years he was knighted.
