Sapper Lee Stephen Horan 59 Independent Commando Squadron, Royal Engineers, by the Helmand river opposite Jugroom Fort where the apache rescue took place on 15 January 2007 (Operation Glacier). He received a Mention in Despatches in recognition of gallant and distinguished service in this operation.

Leighton Bull died on 6th December 2019 aged 42.

Jim attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in 59 Independent Commando Squadron Royal Engineers. His wife Ali Crooks adds the following information "After leaving the army as a Staff Sgt, he retrained as a personnel officer with Devon & Cornwall Police, then became an HR Business Partner at Exeter Prison and finally took on a 4 year Open University Course to retrain as a Paramedic with South West Ambulance Trust - a job that he truly loved. Jim died as a result of cancer on 24th April 2019 aged 60. Loved and missed by his family and friends."

John Monks adds "Major General Geoff Field had served in 59 Commando Squadron, Royal Engineers, and was Commander Royal Engineers (CRE) during the Falklands war."
