His wife Ali Crooks adds the following information &quot;After leaving the army as a Staff Sgt, he retrained as a personnel officer with Devon &amp; Cornwall Police, then became an HR Business Partner at Exeter Prison and finally took on a 4 year Open University Course to retrain as a Paramedic with South West Ambulance Trust - a job that he truly loved. Jim died as a result of cancer on 24th April 2019 aged 60.
