Roy Montague Smith</a> also of 43RM Commando he writes about the death of his friend George Taylor, <i>&quot; George Taylor, one of the three of us is finished, heard tonight that he was to have had the MM but he was killed so guess he will only be in despatches at least thats what it looks like to me.  Ginger and myself ok so far ????? had some very narrow squeeks guess you understand Tony, gosh hope we come through ok. George did some very good work Tony, a fine chap, I'd had him with me since Ramsgate. Must close now keep things going Mum and Tony, Yours Roy&quot;</i> Sadly Roy was also later killed in action.<br />
