My husband is Joseph's 1st cousin: Joseph was the son of Joseph Pasquale (Snr) and Winifred (nee Tunney) of Liverpool. He was born in 1919, and married Jean Marion Lucille (nee Carter) in Lewes, Sussex in 1943. Joseph is commemorated on the family headstone in Ford Cemetery, Liverpool. The inscription on his headstone in Hermanville War Cemetery reads: "Sweet and treasured memory of my darling husband who gave his life on D-Day".
