Arnie Howarth and a group from No.2 Commando

A group from No.2 Commando. Arnie Howarth is 2nd from the left middle row. Arnie was in 3 troop and, as a Lance Corporal, took part in Operation Chariot, the raid on St Nazaire 28/3/1942. He was one of only 5 of all those who landed that managed to escape back to the UK after the action He rejoined No.2 Commando and was injured at Salerno. Arnie died in November 1944.
