<title><![CDATA[No.4 Commando F troop Falmouth 1943 - without names]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[This photo was originally sent in as 2 SBS possibly Ceylon. Photo and information courtesy of Stuart Palmer. However information from Stephane detailed below and in the comments suggest it is F troop of No.4 Commando. Stephane advises that it was taken in Falmouth. This would then make the date around April/May 1943 when No.4 Cdo were based there. I have now also identified Lt. Murdoch McDougall of F troop No.4 Cdo. from his picture in his own book Swiftly they Struck. The photo has therefore been relocated into the No.4 Cdo troop photos album. Ernest 'Dick' Palmer, grandfather of Stuart who provided this photo, is seated extreme left in the row above the men sitting cross legged. There are other photos of Ernest in the SBS album located within the WW2 photo gallery. <br />

Update 27/7/10 from Pete R. Stephane Saint-Martin has advised that he was given a copy of this photo by Roland Oliver of  F Troop 4 Cdo. who is pictured along with other No.4 Cdo's from F troop. He states it is F troop of No.4 Cdo and was taken in Falmouth<br />
