An entry in the personal diary of Victor 'Dusty' Miller of No.2 Commando. He briefly mentions their journey from Scaletta in August to Salerno in September. The Salerno raid began on the 8th September and the fighting continued for 2 weeks with No.2 Commando being in the area of Vietri. Note the description at the foot of the second page. ** Update from Pete R. There is no entry in the CWGC for Tom Bowering. I have checked documents I have and there is an entry for 1944 for a L/Cpl. T. Bowring No.2 Cdo. As such Tom may have been one of many who were missing and wounded at the time and not one of the fallen".
