Bill Gibson wrote what would be his last letter to his father a few days before the raid. This letter was read out annually by his Troop Captain, Micky Burns MC, at the St Nazaire Society Remembrance dinners. I tried unsuccessfully to trace relatives of Bill Gibson so in 2010 I sought permission of his troop Captain, Micky Burn MC, to place the letter on our website.
