17 April 1945, War Substantive Lieutenant, No.2 Commando, wounded and reported as dangerously ill with a mortar fragment wound to his chest, during operations at Lake Comacchio. Evacuated from hospital at Bari, Italy, to hospital in UK [1][3][3a].<br />
Post war worked and resided in Sussex [4].<br />
