Bob adds "The photo of Lt Clark was taken by a close friend of mine who served in the same company (M) and he was also in the parachute club that was run by Lt Clark. Taken whilst sport parachuting in Johor Bahru in 1965".
Lieutenant Ian Clark died during a cross border operation to Sajingan Besar*, Indonesia. He received a posthumous Mention in Despatches for distinguished service in support of operations. He had previously served in Aden with 45 Commando RM.
