Newspaper cutting mentioning Cdos - Wilson, Carruthers, and Baird
Post war all resided in Dundee at the time of this newspaper report. They were travelling to Spean Bridge to attend the unveiling of the Commando Memorial by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on Saturday 27th September 1952.

Signalman William J. 'Bill' Carruthers, Royal Corps of Signals, was attached to No.6 Commando for the North African landings (OP Torch) and served in 1 Brigade Signal Troop on D Day (Sources: CA newsletters 16 and 91, CVA Gallery entry).
Lieutenant Alexander Fleming Baird RM, served as an Instructor at the Commando Mountain Warfare Training Centre at St.Ives, Cornwall.
