All three were Liverpool Scottish, then volunteered for No.4 Independent Company and No 2 Commando when it was raised, joining 5 troop No.2 Commando. L/Cpl. Harold 'Aggs' Roberts was a professional footballer and played for Chesterfield FC. There is a picture of him in the 5 troop 2 Cdo album supplied by Chesterfield.
