Thomas Carroll
Tommy served in 43RM Commando in Italy and Yugoslavia from its formation until 20th Aug'44 when his records show he was attached to HMS Byrsa, Naples Port Naval Party. Tommy had suffered injuries to his feet, and in Aug'46 was medically discharged from the Royal Marines.

Judging by his uniform etc., he is a Member of Regimental Police Unit. He is wearing an arm band which would carry the letter RP as opposed to MP as the a Royal Marines did not have Military Police trained as such until the 1960s.
