Mac tells Lochiel that when he came up in front of the Colonel, Lieut. Col.Vaughan, and was asked what he had to say about the loss of his tin helmet, Mac explained what had happened during the fire and the officer 'borrowing' his hat etc. and the CO dismissed the charge...
