Location is the piazza in front of the Norman Castle on the seafront of Aci Castello, near Catania, Sicily.

A low resolution copy of this photo was previously identified incorrectly as 3 troop. Now replaced by this higher resolution copy courtesy of Guy Hudson who also provided the initial names shown. Guy also adds " Due to No 3 Cdo. casualties 3 Troop were temporarily disbanded on the 18th July 1943. The men were cross posted to strengthen 4,5 and 6 Troop. 3 Troop didn’t reform until February 1944.Source War Diary. This photograph features the medics, signallers and drivers all attached to HQ Troop."
