This photo depicts the period at the end of the war when Commandos from different units were being moved around as those who had enlisted earliest were being demobbed first, and thus Commando units were being depleted. Photos at this time often contain Commandos from differing Units.<br />

 <title><![CDATA[No 3 Commando HQ troop at Aci Castello, Sicily, 8th November 1943]]></title>

A low resolution copy of this photo was previously identified incorrectly as 3 troop. Now replaced by this higher resolution copy courtesy of Guy Hudson who also provided the initial names shown. Guy also adds &quot; Due to No 3 Cdo. casualties 3 Troop were temporarily disbanded on the 18th July 1943.  The men were cross posted to strengthen 4,5 and 6 Troop. 3 Troop didn’t reform until February 1944.<i>Source War Diary</i>. This photograph features the medics, signallers and drivers all attached to HQ Troop.&quot; <br />
