This photo, taken in October 1940 in Ireland, shows 18 members of the 2nd Independent Company who took part in the Narvik operations. Centre is Lt.L Scott (later Maj Gen).

Tom Durrant soon after this photo was attached to No 1 Commando. He was killed in action during the St. Nazaire raid and awarded the VC. Here Tommy is sitting centre right. Click on his name below to see more images of Tom and his family as well as documents relating to his death.
