Tess adds "My Father had been a boxer. He said that he had men scaling cliffs and taught them arm to arm combat. He also said he would have to coax some of them 'through' the exercises. He also did major treks with all the gear on. He spoke of a 60 mile trek from Inverness. His nickname was Ginger"

Royal Artillery and Instructor at the Commando Depot and staff at the Holding Operational Commando. Born in Maidenhead on the 19th June 1919. Post war he emigrated with his family to Canada in 1957. A member of the original Commando Association who lost contact with him after he emigrated (ref. CA Lost Legions 5).
