<br />
<a href="https://gallery.commandoveterans.org/cdoGallery/v/Commando+War+Graves+Memorials+and+Plaques/vaagso/linge+memorial.jpg.html" rel="nofollow">Martin Linge</a> was a Norwegian actor who escaped from Norway and held the rank of Captain in the Royal Norwegian Army. He was a Liaison Officer to the War Office and formed the Norwegian Independent Company which had close ties with the SOE. He was killed in action during Operation Archery at Maaloy on the 27th December 1941. Click on his name to see a memorial to him. (Operation Archery) The officer shown is Lieutenant O'Flaherty. <br />

The soldier on the right is Derek Gordon Page - a commando. He subsequently left the commandos and served with the Gurkas in India fighting in Burma and eventually ending the war in Indonesia where he met a Dutch prisoner of war who he subsequently married. He left the army with the rank of Captain.<br />
