Corporal Stanley Victor Tilly, known as Stan and a veteran of the Dieppe raid, was wounded on 12 June 1944 during operations at Normandy. Post war member of the Commando Association who unceasingly carried the Brighton Branch Association flag to every ceremony in Normandy so as to show a British Flag among the many French Pennants. <br />
