Several copies of a 1 troop photo
Several copies of a 1 troop photo taken December 1944. Two of the pictures do refer to different locations one showing Bitetto the other Bitonto. However both these locations are very close and in the region of Bari where No.2 Cdo were based. This entry is from the No.2 Commando War Diary and gives support to it being Bitetto: " Bitetto. 18th December 1944. Lt. Benn promoted to rank of Captain and assumes command of No.1 Troop wef 19 Oct 1944."
