Arthur Le Mesnil Salisbury 4974614, (also known as 'SOS'), Sherwood Foresters, 101 troop No.6 Commando, and 2 SBS. There is reference to Arthur Salisbury from 101 troop in the CVA '2 SBS' gallery.
Sadly Arthur spent the last 40+ years of his life unable to speak or move following a traffic accident.

"During Operation TORCH (1 to 8 November 1942), he took part in the marking and guidance of American forces to the Algerian beaches.
From 3rd to 4th of August 1943, Operation FORFAR LOVE: reconnaissance of the east pier of Dunkirk’s harbour.
In May 1944, the N°2 SBS is divided in 3 Groups and sent to Ceylon. Sergeant SALISBURY is in “B” Group.
End of 1944 and beginning of 1945 : several reconnaissance missions on the Chindwin River crossings and the Irrawady River crossings (Burma."
