Plaque thanking the people of St Ives
Presented by the Commando Cliff Climbing Depot RM on its closure at St Ives in 1950, formerly the Commando Mountain Warfare Training Centre. This photo, courtesy of Phil Hadley, replaces an unaccredited one we already had.
Phil adds "The plaque is on the wall of an old rectangular pillbox (now a ladies toilet!) on the landward side of Smeaton's Pier in St Ives".
