He later served with No.2 Commando and was, again, taken prisoner on the island of Vis (Yugoslavia) on Tuesday 6th June 1944.
He was captured, after volunteering, to go on a mission to rescue Lieutenant Colonel Jack Churchill and was subsequently interned in Stalag V11A & Stalag X111A, in Germany.
He was liberated on Saturday 28th April 1945, and repatriated.]]>
