Arthur Wardle on the right was later sent to OCTU and then joined No.3 Commando as an officer. We have photos of him at Limehouse with all the No.3 Commando officers training for D Day. He also served for a period (belvd in 1945) as a Captain on the staff of the Commando Mountain Warfare Training Centre (CMWTC)at St Ives. He was awarded the Military Cross in recognition of gallant and distinguished services in North-West Europe.
