I believe 153 to be my dad, George Francis Harris (Geordie Lad) He said he missed 'the big photo' but that's got to be him.

Tanky Bryne?
Eileen Harris believes the man with his right hand holding the flag and next to Jock Thursby and Geordie Harris (her father) is Tanky Bryne

The location of this photo is that of the Drop Redoubt fort at the Western Heights at Dover, and not Dover Castle as labelled. 'C' Troop are sitting on the edge of the 1860s sidearms store on the terreplein. No.4 Commando were stationed at the fort for the five nights of the raid.

Information
My father John Mc Arthur from Largs Ayrshire Scotland served with Lord Lovat and spoke often with high regard of piper Bill Millan , I am looking for information on my late father who I believe was wounded twice returned to his company and was I think at Normandy. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated
Archie.
