Hi Don was Albert Reuben Donohue. I am the granddaughter of Nancy Hyslop and have been researching the family history, and have just come across these photos of my Grandparents and Great Gran. The Hyslops property was known as 'Andreville' and consisted of two houses, a cottage and a bungalow. It's not uncommon on Arran for a family to have more than one property on their Feu as one or more would be let out to holidaymakers. The cottage is still there opposite Arran High school and has been recently modernised. The bungalow was renamed by new owners to 'Sandmoor'.

The police station is right next door to Andreville where Nancy Hyslop lived, and the soldiers stayed (there were two houses).
