No. 55 is my father, John Ellis Hawksworth, Irish Guards s/n 2722253. He is mentioned several times (although our surname is constantly mis-spelled) in the No.3 Commando war diaries after D-day (http://www.pegasusarchive.org/normandy/war_3cdo2.htm) until he was wounded in action on 18/08/1944.

Just to be clear this photo is of E troop as the similarity to the previous picture detailed as
"Some of E Troop 43 RM Commando
On the South bank of River Reno, Commachio 1945. Photo courtesy of Jeff Gordon, son of Sgt. Jack Gordon 43 RM Cdo" shows, since the camp set up, tools ie pick axe lying upright on the floor and group of five men are all consistent in each photo.

Robinson Collins was my father he was MOA to William (Bill) Jenkins DSO seen here again as in a similar previous photo by a large dug out through the south bank of the Reno in sector A1 stood with his back facing on the right.
