My Dad
The man second from the right is my father, Arthur Holme.
I didn't know that his nickname in the Army was "The Bull" until the day of his funeral when I was told by Jack Strain who came to the wedding and I assume is the poster, Daniel's, grandfather.
If Daniel reads this then you can contact me on [email protected], but thanks for posting this it has made my day finding it.

My Father Sgt John (Jack) Thomas no.391
I believe this is my father John Thomas 1911-1991,born and raised in Wales and originally a member of the Welch Regiment. Is there anyone who could verify this for me? I know he was in 1 Troop No.1 Commando and many of the names in the photograph are familiar to me from my conversations with him. Any comments please?

I actually uploaded this photo some time ago and am embarassed to admit that I never really checked it out properly at the time, after a recent re-examinination, I am now fairly sure that the figure second from the right is my father!
